Rockstar is a musical journey: Ranbir Kapoor

Bollywood actor Ranbir Kapoor, who promoted his upcoming flick ‘Rockstar’ in Mumbai on Sunday described the movie to be a musical journey.

“The film is a musical journey and a love story. A lot can be explained through the promos of the film on how the journey goes and when the film opens in theatres on November 11, 2011 you will discover yourself,” said Kapoor, who plays the lead role in this movie.

“But, of course I play a rockstar in the film, whose name is ‘Janardhan Jakkad’ and who in the film would transform into the rockstar ‘Jordan’,” he added.

Meanwhile, the director of the film, Imtiaz Ali, who was also present on the occasion informed that the music of the film, which will be launched on September 20, was parallel to the personality of the protagonist and was a mix of local flavour and the dominant western influence on his music.

“See the title is Rockstar so it’s obviously about music and I think the spirit of rock, I think is local to the place. This guy (the protagonist) is a Hindi speaking guy who can’t speak English well,” said Ali.

“He is a very local guy, who lives in New Delhi, but he plays western music. His music is a mix of the local taste and the influence of western music,” he added.

Nargis Fakhri plays the female lead in this movie. Oscar winning music director A. R. Rahman has composed the music of Rockstar.

Legendary actor Shammi Kapoor, who breathed his last on August 14 this year, makes his last silver screen appearance in this film.

गुगलको सर्भर नेपालमा

विश्वभरिमा सबैभन्दा बढी चल्ने सर्च इन्जिन गुगलले नेपालमै सर्भर राखेको छ। नेपाल टेलिकमसँग मिलेर गुगलले राखेको यो सर्भर अहिले परीक्षणको क्रममा छ। नेपालमै गुगलको सर्भर सञ्चालनमा आएपछि गुगलको इमेल, सर्च इन्जिन, युटुब पहिलेभन्दा छिटो चलाउन सकिन्छ।

‘परीक्षण सफल भइसकेको, भदौभित्र नेपालबाट गुगल प्रयोगकर्ताहरुले कुनै पनि सेवा लिँदा अमेरिकामा रहेको सर्भरमा पुगिराख्नुपर्दैन,’ टेलिकमका एक उच्च अधिकारीले नागरिकसँग भने।

गुगलको क्यासे सर्भर नेपालमा राखेर सञ्चालन गर्ने प्रविधि सिकाउन अहिले अमेरिकाबाट प्राविधिक यहाँ आएका छन्। क्यासे सर्भर भनेको सहायक सर्भर हो। सहायक सर्भर भए पनि गुगलको मुख्य सर्भरमा रहेका सबै डाटाहरु यहीबाट प्रयोग गर्न सकिन्छ।

गुगलको सर्भर नेपालमै भएपछि अहिले जिमेललगायत गुगलका सर्च साइट, समाचारका लागि अमेरिकासम्म पुग्नुपर्दैन।

यसअघि टेलिकमले अकामाईको सर्भरसमेत नेपालमा राखिसकेको छ। यो सर्भरले गर्दा याहु, माइक्रोसफ्टका सेवाहरु प्रयोग गर्न अमेरिकासम्मको ब्यान्डविथ खपत हुन रोकिएको छ।

नेपालमा सर्भर राख्न लाग्ने खर्च गुगलले नै बेहोरेको छ। टेलिकम घरायसी इन्टरनेट सेवातर्फ सबैभन्दा ठूलो सेवा प्रदायक भएकाले गुगलले सहकार्य गरेको हो। टेलिकमको जावलाखेलस्थित कार्यालयमा गुगलको सर्भर राखिएको छ।

नेपालमै सर्भर राखेपछि टेलिकमको खर्चसमेत कम हुनेछ। इन्टरनेटमा स्थानीय विषयवस्तुहरु नहुनु र सर्भरसमेत विदेशमै रहँदा इन्टरनेट सेवा प्रदायकले ब्यान्डविथ खर्च बढी तिर्नुपरिरहेको छ। सर्भर नेपालमा राखेपछि एक जिबी ब्यान्डविथ बचत हुँदा टेलिकमको वार्षिक दुईलाख डलर खर्च कम हुन्छ ।

अहिले टेलिकमको अनलिमिटेड इन्टरनेट सेवा प्रयोग गर्ने ग्राहकले फेसबुक, जिमेललगायत साइटहरु साइन इन गरेर बस्दा ब्यान्डविथ खर्च बढेको छ। यही खर्चलाई घटाउन टेलिकमले जिमेलसँग सहकार्य गरेको हो। जिमेलको सर्भर यहीं रहेपछि फेसबुक जस्तै गरी सञ्चालन गरिएको गुगल प्लससमेत छिटो चलाउन सकिन्छ।

‘गुगलको सर्भर यहाँ राखेपछि अहिले इन्टरनेटको ब्यान्डविथ खपत घटेको छ,’ सूचना प्रविधि निर्देशनालयकै अर्का एक अधिकारीले भने। पहिले टेलिकमले लिएको चार जिबी ब्यान्डविथ पूरै प्याक हुने गरेकोमा यही सर्भर राखेपछि एक जिबी खपत कम भएको छ। टेलिकमले गुगलको सर्भर यहीं राख्न सिंगापुरसम्म लिज्डलाइन जोडिएको छ।

पाँच महिनासम्मको निरन्तर प्रयासपछि गुगलले गत साताबाट नेपालमा राखेको क्यासे सर्भरको परिक्षण नेपालमै गरेको हो। यसले गर्दा पहिले भन्दा अहिले इन्टरनेट छिटो चल्नु, जिमेल छिटो खुल्न थालेको टेलिकमका अधिकारीहरुले बताएका छन्।

सर्भर नेपालमा राखेपछि गुगलका अधिकारीले नेपालको सूचना प्रविधिबारे यसै साता तीन उच्च तालिमसमेत दिँदैछन्। टेलिकमदेखि लिएर सूचना प्रविधिको क्षेत्रमा कार्यरतलाई ब्यान्डविथ खपत कम गर्ने, सूचना प्रविधिको सुरक्षणका विषयमा गुगलका अधिकारीले प्रशिक्षण दिने छन्।

सन् १९९८ मा स्थापना भएको गुगलले अमेरिकी सेयर बजार नास्डाकमा सूचीकृत कम्पनी हो। सन् २०१० मा यसको आम्दानी २९ अर्ब ३२ करोड डलर थियो। त्यसवर्ष सबै खर्च कटाएर गुगलले ८ अर्ब ५० करोड नाफा गरेको थियो।

इन्टरनेटमा आधारित सर्चिङ, वेव होस्टिङ, समाचार, विज्ञापन, इमेललगायत सेवा सञ्चालन गुगलले गरिरहेको छ। यसको मुख्य कार्यालय अमेरिकाको क्यालिफोर्नियामा छ। गुगलका युट्युब, गुगल भ्वाइस, एड मोबाइललगायत आधा दर्जन सहायक कम्पनीसमेत सञ्चालन गरेको छ।

Men who are good listeners are better at sex

A study has revealed that an understanding male partner, who can communicate and listen well, is more likely to give his female partner an orgasm.

The US study, which is the first to find a solid relationship between mental well-being and sexual pleasure, looked at three qualities, self-esteem, autonomy and empathy.

These were compared to three measures of sexual pleasure: regularity of orgasm, enjoyment of receiving oral sex and enjoyment of performing oral sex.

The team from Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health found that sexual enjoyment in women was consistently linked to an empathetic male partner.

They found that when men were responsive and cared it set up a “feedback cycle” which increased a woman’s pleasure.

The results also indicated that among women, self-esteem and the feeling of autonomy increased levels of sexual enjoyment.

These developmental assets may be more important to young women’s sexual pleasure since they help them break down impediments to sexual communication and exploration,” the Daily Mail quoted lead researcher Adena Galinsky as saying.
